Last Year Closing Merit of MBBS in UHS Punjab
In the academic session, the University of Health Sciences (UHS) Punjab reported a significant increase in the closing merit for MBBS admissions across its affiliated public medical colleges. The closing merit—the minimum aggregate score required for admission—rose notably compared to previous years.
For example, King Edward Medical University in Lahore, one of the most prestigious institutions, had a closing merit of 96.0727%. Similarly, the newly established Narowal Medical College observed a closing merit of 94.3621%, marking it as the lowest among the public sector medical colleges under UHS.
This upward trend in closing merits underscores the growing competitiveness and high academic standards of medical education in Punjab. Prospective students aiming for admission in future sessions should be prepared for increasingly stringent merit requirements.
