In the 2024-2025 academic session, the closing merit for MBBS admissions in government medical colleges across Pakistan varied by province and institution. In Punjab, the University of Health Sciences (UHS) reported that the lowest closing merit was observed at the newly established Narowal Medical College, with a closing merit of 94.3621%. This was notably higher compared to the previous year's closing merit of 91.2500%, indicating an increase in competition and academic standards.

Similarly, in Sindh, the Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) in Karachi had a closing aggregate of 88.219% for its MBBS program. Other institutions like Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) and Karachi Medical and Dental College (KMDC) had closing aggregates of 86.178% and 84.36%, respectively.

These variations in closing merits across different provinces and institutions highlight the competitive nature of medical admissions in Pakistan. Prospective students should research individual colleges' merit trends and prepare accordingly to enhance their chances of securing admission.
